Shannon Ahern Joins Wai Acupuncture and Integrated Chinese Medicine as Acupuncture Physician Trainee

ORLANDO, FL, August 27, 2021 /24-7 PressRelease/ — Since the inception of Wai Acupuncture in Longwood, we have successfully spread the news of holistic medicine to our communities with an emphasis on the use of acupuncture neuroscience and frequency-specific microcurrents (FSM). This system has successfully helped many people with chronic pain syndrome, as neuroscience acupuncture and FSM bring back homeostasis in our body. Since adopting this new form of treatment, word of mouth has spread through the community and to accommodate the growing number of new clients, we expanded our clinic space in March 2021.

Holistic health works with the way the human body works on many of its interrelated parts. If one part of the body is not functioning properly, the whole body cannot function in harmony with each other. If there are imbalances in our body, whether physical, emotional or spiritual, the resulting imbalance can negatively affect our overall health.

We also welcomed an additional member to our team, and we are very pleased to announce that Shannon Ahern has joined us as an Acupuncture Physician Trainee at Wai Acupuncture & Integrated Chinese Medicine LLC in Longwood, Florida.

Shannon is a graduate of the Florida College of Integrative Chinese Medicine in Orlando, Florida and Adelphi University in Long Island, New York. She successfully completed the rigorous dual degree program in a BA/MA in Psychology with a specialty in Addiction Counselling. After working in the field of psychology, Shannon followed her personal desire to have a positive impact on her patients’ healing journeys and decided to pursue her studies at the Florida College of Integrative Medicine where she earned a master’s degree in oriental medicine. Shannon’s passion for holistic and integrative medicine has empowered her patients to regain control of their mental, physical, and emotional well-being through science-backed holistic treatment plans. Shannon also hopes to integrate her mental health wisdom with Chinese medicine to further help the community heal from stress and anxiety. In addition to her expertise in mental health, she specializes in the treatment of chronic pain such as fibromyalgia, chronic inflammation and post-operative nerve damage.

Shannon’s professional credentials include Certified Acupoint Injection Therapy; Master of Arts in General Psychology with a concentration in Addiction Counselling; OASAS has completed certified training for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse and the New York State Office of Alcohol and Drug Services. She has also obtained certifications in opiates and addiction medications and conducts motivational interviewing in a chemical dependency treatment setting.

We are very happy to have Shannon Ahern on board and Wai Acupuncture is very proud to have her on our team.
